I grew up in West Texas, in Lubbock, TX, listening to music by Kiss, Rush, George Jones, Alabama, Elvis, Johnny Rodriguez, Waylon, Buddy Holly, Mac Davis, among others. Music has always been my calm place when feeling sad, happy, or just relaxing. In Lubbock, my hometown, walking from school, I would sing out loud with the songs coming ou

Music has always been my calm place when feeling sad, happy, or just relaxing. In Lubbock, my hometown, walking from school, I would sing out loud with the songs coming out from my cool portable radio/cassette player. Fun times.
I would always imagine what the original artist were to say if they heard me sing their songs, would they like it or frown. My belief, and still is today, is to give each song that I sing, whether a cover or my own, the respect needed. I want the audience to feel what I sing about, and that they believe it and enjoy it.
